Terms and conditions for renting a motorhome

To rent an RV, you must meet a number of conditions. This may have to do with age, boating license, user rights and special arrangements for winter sports, for example. In order to agree on these things, we avoid many discussions later on about what is and is not permissible.

Below we mention the booking / general conditions of Camper Holidays Friesland. For an extended version we refer you to these general conditions of renting a motorhome.

Telephone reservation counts as legal will agreement. The written confirmation of the rental agreement is an administrative confirmation. Reservation is final upon receipt of at least the deposit of 50% of the rental fee. This must be paid within seven days of receipt of the invoice and rental contract, the remainder four weeks before departure.

Tenant must sign a rental agreement in the landlord's name before departure, identify himself by passport or ID card and driver's license. This applies to all drivers of the motorhome. Motorhomes are delivered only after signing this rental agreement and paying the deposit. Beforehand, you and the instructor will check all supplies present and any inventory list ordered. In case of missing items, after your check, you are responsible. In case of disagreement, the signed rental contract/lease agreement will apply in first order.

The rental period begins on the pick-up day between 2:00 and 5:00 pm and ends on the return day between 9:00 and 10:00 am. Each motorhome has its own pick-up and return times. These times are specified in the rental agreement.

There are 220km free per day included (1540km per week). More kilometers will be settled afterwards at the current market price, established in the rental agreement.

The driver must be at least 25 years of age and 5 years and hold a valid Dutch driver's license required to drive the rented motorhome. Non-Dutch residents should be in possession of a valid international driving license, which can be obtained in the country of origin. For driving the motorhome with driving license B, the driver should take into account a registration weight ranging from 3,000 to 3,100 kg. The camper may weigh a maximum of 3,500kg loaded with driving license B.

On departure we will give you a full tank of diesel. Upon return of the motorhome we will return the motorhome with a full tank of diesel. Should this not be the case, we will be forced to charge you for this.

When returning the camper, it must be in the same condition as when it was delivered. If this is not the case, we are obliged to charge a fee for this.

You may choose to book a final cleaning, but you may also clean the motorhome yourself. When returning the motorhome, it must be in the same condition as when it was delivered. If this is not the case, we will be forced to charge you for this.

All countries in Europe may be visited with the camper except for risk areas designated in advance by the insurance company and Camper Vakanties Friesland. The countries concerned are listed on the green card. It is not permitted to visit winter sports areas with the camper or to use the camper for winter sports purposes. For some countries you need an environmental sticker, we can request this for you on request. Prepare your trip well so you will not be confronted with unexpected surprises.

For hygienic reasons, it is not possible to bring your pet in the motorhomes of Camper Vakanties Friesland.

Parking is free on the Camper Vakanties Friesland premises.
Leaving a car of the tenant and/or driver on the grounds of Camper Vakanties Friesland during the rental period is entirely at your own risk.

In case of collision damage or failure due to mechanical breakdown, you can call Spitz emergency service. This emergency service operates throughout Europe. You are insured for this. The policy number is on the green card.
